Description
Take the wheel and become the captain of your very own speedboat on a guided and narrated tour of the St. Petersburg waterways and Tampa Bay. Navigate an F-13 mini speedboat for the entire tour while following trained guides, combining the excitement of driving your own vessel with the safety of expert guidance. A two-way radio communication system in each boat provides live narration, including historical insights, local stories, and tips on spotting wildlife. Keep an eye out for dolphins, manatees, gopher tortoises, sea birds, and other coastal creatures. Drivers must be at least 18 years old, and passengers must be 5 years or older to join the tour.
Tours cover approximately 25–30 miles of waterways, including scenic routes past National Wildlife Refuges, historic Fort De Soto Park, and the Sunshine Skyway Bridge. The tour lasts around 90 minutes on the water, plus a 20-minute safety briefing before departure. Multiple daily departure times are available, and participants are advised to arrive early, as tours depart on time.

Are there any restrictions or weight requirements?
Yes, there is a per boat weight limit of 500 lbs. A small child (under 50 lbs) is allowed to sit in the middle. You must be 18 years or older to drive a boat by yourself.
Any health restrictions?
Part of the fun at Speed Boat Adventure Tours is that, at times, they will be riding in open water. Although usually calm, the harbor can be choppy at times. *They do not recommend guest with neck or back problems or a recent surgery to participate. Pregnant women should not participate.
What to bring/wear?

Can we switch drivers?
Absolutely! They will stop several times during the tour and you can switch drivers if you like.
What if I have never driven a boat?
No problem! The boats are very simple to operate and they will make sure you are fully comfortable with the operation before they leave the dock.
What if I am by myself?
If they have another single on your tour then they will pair you together and you can make a new friend (or love connection). If not then you get the boat to yourself.
