The tour begins with a 15 to 20-minute kayak lesson for new paddlers. Experienced paddlers have the opportunity to explore while the new paddlers get up to speed, or choose to stay close by and help out their friends get the hang of handling their kayak.

The tour leaves from the shore of Hammond Lake and heads toward the mouth of Big Creek. A rich history of environmental and cultural significance unfolds, as your guide shares the history of the park, the city of Clermont, and the intricate surrounding ecosystem.
